1. Nature of VYPER and VYP

VYPER is an open-source software project that publishes a token (VYP) and a set of smart contracts on a public blockchain. The team does not custody user funds, does not operate a centralised exchange, and does not act as a financial intermediary.

VYP is intended for use within the VYPER ecosystem. It is not, and should not be construed as, a security, share, deposit, or investment product. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, tax, or legal advice.

2. Eligibility and restricted users

You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to interact with cryptoassets in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for knowing and complying with the laws that apply to you.

You may not use the site or interact with the contracts if you are subject to comprehensive sanctions, are a resident of a sanctioned jurisdiction, or are otherwise prohibited from using such services under applicable law.

3. Smart contract and protocol risk

• Smart contracts may contain bugs, undiscovered vulnerabilities, or unintended behaviour. An audit reduces but does not eliminate this risk.
• Once a transaction is confirmed on-chain it is irreversible. We cannot recover lost or mis-sent funds.
• The price of VYP is set by an on-curve bonding mechanism and any secondary markets. It can be highly volatile and can fall to zero.
• Public mempools expose transactions to MEV. Use a private RPC or MEV-protected route for large mints or burns.

4. No warranty

The site, the contracts, and any related software are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the team disclaims all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither the VYPER team, its contributors, nor its affiliates will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or use, arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of the site or the contracts, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

6. Your responsibilities

• Keep your private keys and seed phrases secure. The team will never ask for them.
• Verify contract addresses before sending any transaction.
• Do your own research before mint, burn, or any trade. Past performance does not predict future results.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site or the contracts to: violate any law; launder funds; finance terrorism; evade sanctions; infringe intellectual-property rights; or attempt to exploit, attack, or disrupt the protocol or related infrastructure.

8. Third-party services and links

The site may link to or integrate with third-party services (wallets, RPC providers, block explorers, exchanges). The team is not responsible for the content, accuracy, security, or availability of those services. Your interactions with them are governed by their own terms.

9. Intellectual property

The VYPER name, mark, and site content are protected. Open-source components are licensed under their respective licences and are available in our public repositories.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be announced through the official VYPER channels. Continued use of the site or the contracts after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction designated in the final version of this document (pending legal review). Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
